Get your Pepsi and Lays chips ready!

Tonight is the Pepsi 400. Things are pretty good for me as far as the fantasy league is concerned, so I can just focus on my favorite drivers instead of worrying about the points. There will be some good racing amongst the other teams in the league.

Tru-Jr-Fan and Super_D are going to have a bunch of guys coming up through the field. Biffle starts off 12th for Tru-Jr-Fan followed by Dale Jr. in 35th and Kahne in 38th. Super_D gets off a little better with Kenseth 10th, Kurt Busch 16th and Ryan Newman 23rd.

BBuck and RYR28DAVEYSLEGACY seem to be the ones on a roll. BBuck has the best starting average for the race with Tony Stewart in 2nd, Denny Hamlin in 6th and Harvick in 32nd. RYR28 is average with his guys running 7 (Jarrett), 13 (E. Sadler) and 17 (Vickers).

My guys aren't so bad off either. Gordon rolls off 4th. Johnson gets underway in 9th and Martin sits on the grid in 24th place. Kyle Busch could be the spoiler for me. He starts in 14th.

Of course, this is Daytona, so it doesn't really matter where you start. The important thing is just to survive long enough race for the win at the end.

Another cool story is that Ward Burton is at the track this weekend and he may pick up a ride. I've always had a soft spot for the elder Burton and sure would like to see him succeed. Maybe we'll see him in a couple of rides this year and then have him full time in '07.
