Auto Club 500 Fantasy League results

Alright! My team moves into the lead! I sure wish Gordon would have done better. Maybe I should have benched him since I see Busch the younger passed him during the green-white-checker.

Fantasy League lineup for Auto Club 500

Here is the lineup for this week's race:

I'll put up the results as soon as I can get around to it tomorrow night. I won't be able to see the end of the race, so it could be later in the evening.

I kind of have it made this week. We didn't have a sixth person to join the league, so we made up a guy who is racing drivers that may not even be in the race from week to week. It is kind of like a "give-me" that we all get once in awhile. Well, I get it this first week.

Check out Vespatude.com and Wayfaring.com

Head on over to my Vespa page (vespatude.com) to check out my first long ride (if you call 19 miles long). Here is a picture I took on the ride. Unfortunately, it was overcast and misting, so it wasn't the best conditions.

You'll also find a link to my Wayfaring space. Wayfaring.com is pretty fun. I have a map set up just for Vespatude.com. My plan is to keep track of the different rides I take and the various places around town that figure into the Vespa story.

Wayfaring seems to be very California-centric. I have not figured out yet how to show the various maps in my own area. I'm sure they are there. I just haven't figured out how to get them to display. If you know anything about Wayfaring, I'm all ears.

Racing the truck

I'm not a Dale Jarrett fan (not that I don't like him either), but I do really like the UPS commercials where Dale decides to race the truck. I haven't seen the newest ones on TV yet, but you can find them online at UPS racing (check it out here).

NASCAR Cup cars just finished qualifying. My guys are 3) Jimmie Johnson 7) Kyle Busch 9) Jeff Gordon 10) Mark Martin. I'm not used to all of my drivers starting out in the top 10. I'm going to have to see how they do in practice before I choose who to bench. Somehow, I think Martin should be in there. I'm even tempted to bench Gordon...

Finding Peace

Last night I preached the last sermon of my Wednesday evening series at my church, Suber Road Baptist Church. The passage is Philippians 4:6-13. The title is "Finding Peace."

Finding Peace

When I speak, I keep my notes on my laptop. I also was recording this message directly onto my laptop instead of through the church sound system. So, it may not sound as good as the previous two messages. Also, you may hear some tap-tap-tap sounds as well. That would be me scrolling down through my notes :-)

It's NASCAR fantasy league time again

We didn't get our group together fast enough to have our leauge set up before Daytona. Today we finished the draft of our drivers. Here is my team as it finished up. I'll be keeping track of the progress of the league as we go along.

I plan to trade Truex with Mark Martin, if I can. We'll see how things go next race!

Living Forward

Here you go, Mom. Here is the second message of three sermons I am preaching at my church on Wednesday evenings in the month of February. Right now I am leaning toward the third sermon being taken from Philippians 4 - the title is Peace Passing Understanding.

Living Forward

Sorry it has taken me so long to get it posted. Last Tuesday night, my hard drive crashed and I lost everything. I didn't get my new hard drive installed until Wednesday. It has taken some time to get everything set up again. Thankfully, TechRestore.com came through once again and I now have nearly doubled my drive space.

Living Backward

I'm placing this file here for my mom. It is first message of a three sermon series I have been preaching at my church on Wednesday evenings. Actually, it is more of a challenge than a sermon. Hope you enjoy it mom! I love you. I'll put the next one up next week...
